A restaurant owner in Enid, Oklahoma who says he “can spot a freak or a faggot,” is not just refusing to serve gay people. He proudly wears the restaurants official tee shirt that touts Gary’s Chicaros as a “faggot-free zone” “where great whites gather” and where blacks, Democrats and Muslims should avoid. Owner Gary James actually has said that he’s “proud” to wear that shirt, but he denies being a racist even though it also features the N-word and threatens minority groups that he calls, “unproductive trash.” He also refuses to serve disabled people or those on benefits.

Mr. James, who plans to run for a local council seat is causing quite a stir in the town and has gotten quite a few negative comments on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

Some internet pranksters are writing reviews saying the establishment is actually a gay bar. The restaurant’s page on Yelp now features posts describing it as ‘the best gay bar in Enid’ and saying Gary will be hosting a live viewing of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Season.’ One review said: “Gary’s is one of the best bars around. Gary himself sports assless chaps, a choker chain and some pink nipple tassels daily.”

The election for the city council seat is to be held later this week, and James said he has a “good chance” of winning.
