lesbian families and our supporters. And they have the
backing of the Bush administration whose campaign was financed

collecting signatures to place an initiative on the November
ballot to ban unmarried couples from adopting or fostering
children in Arkansas said Thursday it will submit its
petitions by Monday's deadline but will likely need more
time to get the number required.

Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe
has signed legislation erasing an error that allowed
anyone except gay couples to marry - even toddlers -
as long as they had parental permission.
